What You Didn’t Know About Nidahas Trophy
The last time Nidahas tournament took place, three teams participated, namely New Zealand, India and of course the hosts Sri Lanka. That was way back in 1998 and it was the first time the tournament was played. The format of play then was 50-over (ODI).
- Premadas Stadium in Colombo hosted the event that ran from June 18 through July 7. Today, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will face each other in a round-robin manner – T20 format. Each team will play twice against each other during the seven-match series. Unfortunately, two best teams will reach the final, leaving out one team. Who will it be?
The Indian cricket team has enjoyed an impressive form recently. Enjoying the services of their talismanic skipper Virat Kohli, India remains the tournament’s favorites. It’s currently the top team in the ODIs.

Sri Lanka Team
The injury-ridden Sri Lankan team, led by Dinesh Chandimal and Angelo Matthews, intends to rediscover its form when it faces the rejuvenated Bangladesh team in a TI20 match on February 15, 2018.
